Thanks to Prof. Jane Stout of Trinity College who delivered a most educational and interactive Zoom talk last night. Despite our initial technical challenges along with power cuts in parts of Howth we soon got going and 45 people attended the inaugural talk. It was a great success and we hope to have more like it for the season we are currently in.
We will hold our October lecture, according to schedule, at 8pm on Wednesday October 7th.
You can attend this talk from the comfort of your own home. The Zoom meeting invite link has now been sent by email to all. You can use any device with internet access to attend a Zoom meeting. You will need to download the free Zoom app in advance. Then just click on the Join Zoom link in your email.
October’s talk is by Professor Jane Stout, Fellow of Trinity College and is titled: ‘Bugs and Bees – the whys and hows of encouraging biodiversity in the garden’. You can submit questions in advance to this email, or during the talk in the meeting chat, and we hope to hold a live Q&A at the end of the talk. We will hold a draw among attendees for some lovely plant prizes.
Please do join us on Wednesday evening, if you have a query about joining a Zoom meeting, we are here to help, just contact us before Wednesday, and we will try to help you out.
